Ryan was appointed trombonist of CHROMA in 2014 and since then has enjoyed collaborating with composers and musicians to create new music. After graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the professorship of Graham Lee, Ryan subsequently studied as an ABRSM scholar at the Royal College of Music. He has performed as Principal Trombone with Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Sinfonietta as well as with the BBC Orchestras and London Contemporary Orchestra.
